The #1 Secret To Successfully Homeschooling Your Kid

By: Tracy Madlener

If you’re reading this, it’s because you’re either a homeschool parent that is resourceful and confident, wondering what does this person writing this article know about homeschooling and/or, the title caught your eye. Maybe you’re a curious parent and are sick and tired of the traditional school-in-a-box ways and wonder if you could possibly homeschool your kids.

Either way, I have attracted your attention on this important topic; your child’s education.

NCES Report reasons for homeschooling

Public education is a joke, but many of us aren’t laughing. Good education is a must for our children and for the well being of our country.  Our future depends on the success of our children’s intellect as they will be our future leaders, scientist, musicians, doctors, developers of green energy and fixers of the cures to modern illnesses.  The United States is mediocre in the international ranks of public education, pretty sad for a country that is known as a “superpower” throughout the world.  How are we supposed to keep this elite status if our education system is less than great?

It’s time to take charge of our kid’s education.  It’s time to rethink education and know that as parents, we have the ability to guide our children to be the best that they can be.  We also have a responsibility to use our ability to help our children to achieve greatness.  I know you want that for your kids and I know it’s possible to teach intelligent, caring, and independent individuals right in your own home.  I do it every day.

We all have a different perspective on what success is, so my #1 may not be yours.  So you might be wondering, what’s the point of the title?  The point is… to open your mind and to know that there are choices when the topic of educating your kids is at the forefront.  Okay, that wasn’t fair, here’s my secret…

The #1 secret… Thinking outside of the box.  That’s it.  That’s all.  If you can change your mindset on what education means today for your children for their future, you are already on the right path to success.
